Introduction
Stina is a classically trained singer/songwriter from Helsinki. She belongs to a Kabyle family. Stina has performed Kabyle music in concerts and festivals in Algiers, France, Belgium, Kanada, and now lately also in her home country Finland.
She and her trio perform both traditional and modern folk music from Kabylia, presenting their rich cultural heritage. The Kabyle people are an Amazigh people living in Northern Africa, who have a long history and a strong cultural identity.
The trio has created their own arrangements of traditional songs, where one moves from melancholy yearning of the home country into the dance rhythms of the mountain area and great existential questions.
